How a Snakes & Ladders round plays out

Two to four players start at square 1 and race to the final square.
A single die decides the move on each turn.
Land on a ladder base — climb to the top; land on a snake head — slide to the tail.
Roll the exact number to land on the final square.
First to land wins the round; ties are broken by total move count.

The May 2026 revert — what changed

Earlier variants of the format used a 6×6 or 7×7 board, with multi-token movement and an optional bonus die. The May update returned the game to the classic 5×5 board at the request of the player community.
