Zupee Today methodology — how the desk verifies everything

How the Zupee Today desk verifies the numbers, formats and screenshots we publish. The methodology covers fresh-account discipline, payout retests, reward-cycle measurement and the corrections process.

How we verify everything we publish

Zupee Today runs on a small set of editorial checks before any figure leaves the desk.

Recorded from the Google Play listing and cross-checked against a freshly wiped Android 13 device.

Round counts measured live

Turn timer, round length and entry fee are not stated by Zupee in copy; we measured them during 27 sample rounds over 14 days.

Payout retests monthly

We withdraw ₹1 to a verified UPI handle each month to confirm the PSP redirect chain still completes end-to-end.

Reader letters rewrite the desk

Letters to the desk have rewritten four sections of the rules desk in the last 90 days. The verification log lists them.

How the desk designs a new measurement

We identify a fact that the marketing copy states but the desk has not personally measured. We design a test cycle on a fresh device that should measure it. We run the test three times on three devices. We publish the median measurement in the relevant article. If any test cycle diverges by more than 50 percent from the median we don’t publish.

How the verification cadence works

We verify each measurement on a monthly, quarterly or per-release cadence. Monthly measurements include payout times, customer-care response times and OTP arrival times. Quarterly measurements include state-level legality re-reads and the build-list verification of all installed packages. Per-release measurements run when Zupee pushes a new build.

What the verification log keeps

For every measurement, the log keeps the date of the measurement, the device and network, the build number, the median result and the variance. Older measurements stay on the log so a reader arriving from search can compare to current measurements; we do not delete older measurements unless we have a specific reason.
