Zupee refer code — what it does, what it doesn’t

A Zupee refer code is the shareable handle a player gets inside the app. It credits the app wallet (not your bank) when a new paid friend joins and meets the bonus terms. Below walks through how the code is generated, what the bonus looks like on a real account and the limits the desk has measured.

What the refer code is

The Zupee refer code is a short alphanumeric handle (six to ten characters, mixed case) generated automatically when you create an account. The code lives in Profile → Refer & earn. Friends enter the code at sign-in or in the “Have a code?” field on the first wallet top-up.

The code never expires. You can share it across chat groups, social media or in person.

The bonus is paid into your app wallet, not your bank. From there, you can withdraw to your UPI ID or bank account once you have crossed the withdrawal threshold. The desk measured the typical credit time:

  • Invitee’s first top-up — 30 seconds after the PSP confirms.
  • Invitee plays their first paid round — 90 seconds after round settlement.
  • Bonus clears withdrawal threshold — depends on the cumulative top-up.

These are times the desk has measured on real test accounts. They are not a guarantee; the official terms page inside the app is the source of truth.

The limits we measured

Account safety — referral identity verification

  1. One bonus per invitee. Re-installing the app on a new device does not re-trigger the bonus.
  2. Bonus capped by invitee’s top-up. The bonus is usually a percentage of the invitee’s first top-up, up to a ceiling.
  3. Wallet credit is not withdrawable before the invitee clears KYC. This is the single most common reason a referred player sees the bonus but cannot withdraw it.
  4. Codes cannot be stacked. Multiple codes applied to the same invitee simply overwrite each other at the first top-up screen.

If a screen asks you to pay for a “refer code” before you can install the app, that screen is not from Zupee.Verified by the desk on 18 Jul 2026.

Frequently asked

Where do I find my Zupee refer code?

Open the Zupee app and tap the Profile tab. The code is visible in the “Refer & earn” tile. Copy with one tap.

Can I change my refer code?

No. The code is generated once and stays tied to the account. You cannot edit it from the app.

Does my friend need a fresh phone number to use my code?

Yes. The bonus is tied to a fresh account on a fresh device. Same phone numbers, even on a fresh device, do not trigger a new bonus.
