Pending means the cycle was active during our window but the end-to-end payout is not yet observed.
Unverified means the cycle appeared on the official terms page but the desk has not been able to confirm the payout mechanics.

If you spot a cycle the desk has missed, write to the desk with the cycle name and the date range. We will re-test and update the ledger.

A note on stale cycles

A cycle marked Pending for more than two quarters is moved to a stale-readings section at the bottom of the ledger with a note that the desk has not been able to confirm the cycle within the verification window. The desk keeps stale cycles on the page rather than deleting them, on the principle that a reader who arrives from search should see the full trail.
