Who runs the Zupee app — what we know and what is verified
Zupee is operated by a private Indian company. Below lists what we know, what we have verified against public records, and what we have explicitly not been able to verify. We do not invent company data.
Owner — a paper company document on a desk. Photograph from the editorial desk archive.
Publisher name. The Google Play listing lists the publisher as a private Indian company, with a valid GSTIN and CIN in public corporate records.
Registered office. The registered office address is published on the official website; the desk cross-referenced it against the GSTIN registration as of June 2026.
Grievance officer. A grievance officer is listed inside the app at Settings → Privacy → Grievance. The desk verified the email format and the response chain during a test escalation.
Terms of service. The in-app terms link maps to a publicly hosted PDF; the desk read the most recent revision.
What we have not been able to verify
Official website — laptop view of the real domain. Editorial desk archive.
The full cap table of the operating company — the desk has read publicly filed disclosures only.
Whether a specific investor is currently a stakeholder — we cite only what is in the public registry.
The exact number of full-time engineers — the operating company has not disclosed this publicly.
If the desk reads something we are not certain about, we say so. We do not invent company data.
