What the app opens to
On first launch the Zupee app opens to a sliding onboarding carousel, a phone-number prompt and a bottom-tab shell. The bottom tabs, in our last live test on app build 4.7.1, were:
- Ludo — Ludo Supreme tournaments, practice rooms, private rooms.
- Snakes & Ladders — Classic 5×5 board, returned in the May 2026 update.
- Cards — Caribbean-style pool-deck rounds, 20-second turn timer.
- Wallet — Top-up, withdraw, transaction history, KYC status.
- Profile — Account settings, active sessions, help, customer care.
The carousel on first launch shows three screens highlighting the new Snakes & Ladders board, the weekly freeroll, and the in-app account-deletion path. They can be skipped in under a second from the second carousel screen onward.
The same Zupee app opens to all of these features. There is no separate “Ludo by Zupee” or “Snakes by Zupee” install on Google Play in our tests.Verified by the desk on 28 Jul 2026 · app build 4.7.1

App build history
The desk keeps a running record of Zupee app builds we have personally re-checked:
- 4.7.1 — Released late July 2026. Lighter install footprint and a quieter offline audio mix.
- 4.6.x — June 2026. Account-deletion path relocated to Settings → Privacy.
- 4.5.x — May 2026. Snakes & Ladders reverted to the classic 5×5 board map.
- 4.4.x — April 2026. UPI top-up flow routed through three PSPs.
Permissions in plain English
The Zupee app asks for three optional permissions during onboarding. You can decline all three and the app still runs:
- Phone — Used only for sign-in. No contacts are uploaded; no call logs are read.
- Notifications — Tournament reminders, deposit confirmations. Can be silenced per tournament later.
- Storage — Optional. Saves a launcher icon cache and any custom avatar you upload.
The app does not ask for location, contacts, microphone or camera in our latest test. If a screen demands any of those, it is not the Zupee app.
Frequently asked
Does the Zupee app work on tablets?
Yes. The layout collapses to a stacked phone-screen layout on most tablets; landscape is supported but feels stretched. Most desk reviewers use a phone.
Does the Zupee app drain battery unusually fast?
On our Pixel 7 test device, a 30-round Ludo session pulled 6% of the battery. Not unusual for a real-time multiplayer app.
Where do I update the Zupee app?
Updates flow through Google Play automatically on most devices. The official download page on the Zupee website lists the current APK download option when Google Play is not available.
